Hi Allies!   Does anyone work with an SEO vendor that they love? I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with my current vendor and would like to explore other options. Tough part is I'm limited by budget. I went through the vetting process two years ago and know my options are limited but there has to be someone.

Frustration point example: We have worked with them for 1.5 years, they should know our online presence inside out, right?  No, they sent me meta title/descriptions with our name spelled wrong in multiple spots which makes me think it wasn't just a typo.

Maybe I just needed to vent to a group that would understand... but I'd love recommendations if you truly like your SEO company.

I fully get your frustration and yes by now they should understand your business and of course be able to spell your name.

So you know we just completed another SEO project with one of our clients which was fun as in the mist of the project we were we doing Google changed their algorithm so we had to take that into consideration and make some adjustments. But that's the fun the ever changing SEO algorithm's.

I feel your pain, Amanda, especially with misspellings (as you can imagine with a company name like Journyx)! It sounds to me like they're outsourcing some stuff to outside contractors (like copywriting), and they're not communicating things very well to them. That's pretty commonplace with SEO agencies.

I worked with a company last year called Neon Ambition. They know their stuff, but we stopped working with them because of budget. I don't know what your budget is, but I'm happy to talk with you outside of this thread to give you more info.

I also used to work at an agency called Marketing Mojo, and I stand by their SEO knowledge. They've won several awards, and the CEO speaks at A LOT of marketing conferences. Again, I don't know your budget, and the pricing shown on their website is $5k/month:

Ugh. I have very little patience for vendors that aren't competent at their job. There is so much competition out there, that no one company should be so lazy as to misspell their client's names and expect to keep their business. Especially with SEO - I'm sorry but they're a dime a dozen. The sad truth is that any joe blow can become an 'seo specialist' so it gets super hard to search through them and find a truly knowledgeable professional. Usually I've noticed they only do one part of SEO well - technical, content, etc. when in reality it only works when it's all done together.

I actually use an individual that I got super lucky with, because he really knows his stuff and what's more he's able to talk through what he does and why very succinctly. He does this for me as a side gig, so you may need someone that can dedicate more time if you're a larger company than me with a bigger budget :) However I can ask if he has any referrals if you like, because I would only hire an SEO professional through a trusted referral at this point, myself.
    Good luck!

Amanda – I have worked with Interactive Limited for many years. They are not "warm and fuzzy" type vendors but they get the job done well, and give me the honest truth, which I appreciate. Dave Foreman.
